Fishing Huts are something of a niche area as an interest. Yet a ‘good’ hut is a joy to fishermen, not to mention walkers who happen upon these piscine temples (not all are inaccessible to the public gaze). What constitutes a good fishing hut in the strict sense is something best left to the fisherman and his arcane rituals with the equipment necessary for the sport (and in many cases, completely unnecessary). I’ll leave it at that, and concentrate on huts that in some way have additional factors that merit attention. Harmony with the setting; intrinsic charm; historic association; a pleasing construction and appearance; rustic simplicity – all these are factors that can make a ‘good’ hut.
