DO FIVE SWALLOWS MAKE A SUMMER?

We saw the first few swallows of summer here in Dorset yesterday. Two singletons and a group of three. Their arrival is about a week earlier than usual. One swallow may not make a summer (though it works for eating an oyster), but since there were five of them, I reckon early summer is here.

  1. It could be, in Norway (southeast) the summer came this weekend as well, unbelievable at this time of the year. That’s a beautiful capture, have you cropped it or where you that near?
Wishing you a good start in the new week, RH.

    1. Well, below and a little way off, but with a lens extension and a bit of a crop. Lord, but those electricity cables are ugly – but they make for very secure perches! Have a good week, Dina. RH
